Enigma is putting on their first music festival this year in Penticton and Kelowna. They have a killer line up and are also featuring some local Drag Performers! Go see both their nights on April 7th and 8th!
We chatted with The Cavernous about their upcoming performance at 3N1GMATIC Music Fest 2023!
1: Describe your sound for those who haven’t heard you?
We are a duo known for our anti-dance and liminal approach to electronic music. Imagine Boards of Canada or the electronic side of Mogwai.
2: Will this be the first time you’ve shared the stage with Drag Performers? What do you think of involving them in the music festival?
As The Cavernous we have never played along side a drag show but I personally have been a part of Burlesque and drag many times with a couple different project. I love playing events that incorporate all kinds of media and art forms.
3: Who is one of your favourite local bands?
Vancouver: Bleako's Nuclear Disco, Highland Eyeway, Charles Mansion, Melohalo, Dusknote
Okanagan: Pharm, Card Declined, Hardball, Tidal Baby, Psychotect
4: What's a memorable tale from one of your shows?
Any show that people stick around and vibe with us. We are known to clear a room. Most music yells at you, we pride ourselves on whispering.
